TRIP DESCRIPTION
After picking you up from your accommodation we will head over to a local lake in town that is stocked annually with Rainbow Trout. The majority of the fish range between 10 – 14 inches but there are definitely a few fish 18 + inches! After drilling a few holes into the ice with my auger drill, I will have you fishing in no time. While inside our cozy tent you will be able to look down the holes and actually watch the fish strike your lure! With this style of fishing you get to see all the action below the ice. Cross ice fishing off your bucket list during your vacation in Whistler, BC!

Temperatures range from 0 degrees to -20 degrees Celsius. We ask clients to dress like they would if they were going skiing for the day. With that being said, we have an insulated ice fishing shelter, propane heater & insulated winter boots to keep you warm
We would never jeopardize the safety of our clients on unsafe ice. We require a minimum of 4 inches of clear ice before setting foot on a frozen lake. This is a general guideline to follow. We often see ice thickness in excess of 12 inches here in Whistler so you have nothing to worry about!
There is a reason it is called fishing and not catching 🙂 Although we catch fish on the majority of our trips…there are times when the fishing can be slow. It’s just part of the game. With that being said, under these circumstances our guides will do everything in their power to put you on fish and will often extend the trip length if the fishing is tough. In addition we also have a fish finder for ice fishing which is called a “flasher” which dramatically increases the chance of catching fish!
You can give an angler a fish…or you can teach them how to fish and our company believes in just teaching. We have a STRICT catch & release policy in place. No exceptions are made
